Alyssa Binns graduated with her Master’s of Physical Therapy and Bachelor’s of Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia. As a Registered Physiotherapist from Port Moody, BC, Alyssa has also completed level 1 with the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Alyssa treats with a combination of manual therapy, sports/therapeutic taping, therapeutic exercise, and modalities as appropriate.
Alyssa has experience working with adults and children of all different ages with a variety of injuries; from activity-related accidents and workplace injuries to motor vehicle incidents and beyond.
As a proud former member of the UBC Thunderbirds Basketball team, Alyssa spent many hours with her own physiotherapist recovering from sports-related injuries – so she understands what it’s like to not be able to do the activities you love due to injury.

Filip studied in Australia and graduated from The University of Queensland with a Master of Physiotherapy Studies in 2017 continuing on from his SFU Bachelor of Kinesiology in 2015. Filip has completed post-graduate training in Dry Needling and Clinical Pilates and he is particularly interested in headaches/migraines and neck pain. He is also a proud member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association as well as the Physiotherapy Association of BC.
Filip was born in Romania, raised in Port Moody, and graduated just around the corner at Charles Best Secondary School. He played Rugby throughout high school, both school and club. He continued with club Rugby during his undergrad degree, playing for United Rugby and SFU Rugby in later years.
Throughout his time at SFU, he worked as a student trainer with the SFU Varsity Men’s and Women’s Wrestling teams as well as the Canadian Wrestling team from 2012-2015. He also spend time with the SFU Varsity Football, Cross Country, and Track & Field teams. Outside of SFU, Filip has worked with various sports teams/organisations in Canada and Australia including: Football BC, SFU Rugby, UQ College Sport (Rugby, Volleyball, and Touch Football), and has been the Team Trainer for the Coquitlam Junior Adanacs Lacrosse team alongside Saqib from 2013-2015.

Upon finishing up at SFU with his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2017, Keith graduated from The University of Sydney in Australia at the end of 2019. He has experience working with a variety of cases from the general population, post-op patients, car-accidents, and semi-professional athletes. He also has a special interest in shoulder and knee injuries. Keith likes to incorporate a mixture of hands-on manual therapy, individualized movement/exercise prescription, and education in order to optimize patient goals.
Sports and activity have been an integral part of Keith’s life growing up. He has participated in martial arts, swimming, rugby, soccer, basketball, and volleyball to name a few. He has spent most of the last decade as a swim and aquatic fitness instructor while also being the team athletic trainer for SFU’s varsity men’s basketball team from 2015-2017. Keith has found a way to incorporate his love for sports and fitness with education in a variety of mediums. No matter what your goals are, Keith will be sure to work with you and get you there!

Neil graduated from UBC with a Bachelor’s of Human Kinetics and a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy. With his strong background in exercise and functional rehabilitation, Neil has a special interest in sport-related injuries and has worked with the New Westminster Hyacks Football, Sullivan Heights Football and Richmond Devils Hockey.
In his practice, he works with a wide array of clients, ranging from athletes of all levels, to individuals just looking to optimize their health. Neil uses a mix of hands-on manual therapy techniques, along with promoting movement & corrective exercise in treating his patients.
Currently, Neil holds his certificate in Chan Gunn IMS, along with his acupuncture certificate from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute, Level 2 Manual Therapy, and Mulligan Concept certifications.

Reenal Patel graduated with her Master’s of Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia, previously completing her Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University. Her post graduate education also includes level 1 with the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
Growing up, Reenal played many sports including soccer, basketball and volleyball which furthered her interest in working as a physiotherapist. Throughout her academic career, she experienced working with a variety of populations and age groups including varsity athletes, patients at BC Children’s Hospital and those involved in motor vehicle collisions. This funnelled her interest towards post-op patients, paediatrics, and athletics. Her treatment approach includes manual therapy and exercise prescription and believes education is a very important aspect in her patients’ trajectory to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Nate completed his degree of Kinesiology in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of British Columbia in 2019 after starting at Douglas College. Born and raised in Coquitlam, Nate graduated high school from Centennial in 2014. Growing up, he played lacrosse for the Coquitlam Adanacs and volleyball for Focus and Centennial. While playing for Focus, he won a national bronze medal.
After an injury, he found his passion for fitness and personal improvement in his first year at Douglas, which inspired him to obtain his degree in Kinesiology. He further pursued his interests in nutrition and psychology during this time. His passion for fitness also brought him back to Focus as a volleyball coach for the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
